Blendtek is pleased to announce that our new facility at 10 Goddard Cres. in Cambridge, ON has been certified through the Safe Quality Food Program (SQF) for Storage, Distribution and Food Manufacturing. From its inception, this facility was designed with quality, efficiency, and food safety in mind and our SQF certification showcases our commitment to a culture of food safety and operational excellence in food safety management.
This Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) scheme was selected because it is recognized by retailers and major brand owners globally who require a thorough, dependable approach to food safety. It requires food manufacturers and distributors to introduce, monitor and demonstrate rigorous food safety protocols across all areas of their operations. This includes strict supplier approval processes, shipping/receiving practices, sanitation procedures, preventative maintenance programs, allergen and cross-contamination controls, traceability procedures, and much more. These policies and processes ensure that all products being produced, stored, or distributed by Blendtek are done so with the highest standards in the industry.
